Introduction to Works
The new library is located at the core of the East Campus, designed in 2013, completed in 2019, Covering an area of 18500 square meters, with a building area of 48575 square meters. The museum has a total of eight floors: one underground and seven above ground, with different floors and different functions. The first floor consists of functional areas such as foyer, exhibition hall, multifunctional hall, audio-visual room, etc, which are suitable for public functional organizations with high pedestrian flow, in conjunction with corresponding building entrances and exits; The second to sixth floors are large spaces that combine collection and reading, serving as the main functional area of the library. The second floor is set as an electronic reading area with slightly higher pedestrian traffic, while the third to sixth floors are ordinary reading areas; The seventh floor is set as an office area with relatively low pedestrian traffic and an ancient book reading area. In terms of spatial layout and utilization, we have once again taken the lead in deploying more than 20 application scenarios such as training, reading, discussion, and meditation to meet the diverse needs of teachers and students learning, thinking, and communicating in the library. The outdoor environment design of the library is coordinated with the main square of the gymnasium, considering the pedestrian flow distribution of student apartments and gymnasium in the surrounding area, the site design is mainly focused on accessible green squares, which are integrated with the building facade. The main entrance square is paved with dark and light colored stone materials that gradually fade away, forming a natural transition with the gymnasium activity square. Resting seats and square lighting are set on both sides in accordance with the texture of the landscape, reminiscent of the pastoral atmosphere of ups and downs and the digital texture of modern technology.
