Introduction to Works
The "Piao" sculpture is located on the lawn to the east of the Tuhua Building in the West Campus, and is one of Mr. Michio's "Piao" series of works, echoing the sculpture "World Here, World There" in the East Campus. In the sculpture, there are three people with wings are running in different directions, so they are affectionately referred to as "flying people" by classmates. In Michio's view, "wings" are also living and uniquely human things that can transform into hundreds of expressions, just like the expression of gestures. In Michio's works, the term "Piao" is like "emerging", with a penetrating concept that encompasses both the future and the present. His "wings" are not just a person. His "wings" are not only personalized artistic labels, but also conform to the values of the "Piao Generation", becoming a symbol of their free and easy survival state.
